Jack stands? Am I over thinking this?

I don't mean to high-jack this thread, but I do have 2 sets (4 total) of Esco flattop jackstands that I would love to send to a good home; never used and in the original shipping containers. Pictures if interested.
I purchased them just after I got my Porsche in anticipation of all the work I would do. If memory serves, Steve D'Gerolamo of Ultimate Garage was offering a special here on Rennlist and I paid $74.00 each plus shipping. I'd lower the price to $70.00 each to an interested party: shipping dependent on distance. My zip is 98250

I'm not trying to do anything. Just noting that the price of all types of lifts have gone up significantly in the last few years. Add $40 for residential shipping plus another $50 or so for liftgate service to get it off the truck, and you're at 2 grand at your door. You're seriously trying to make an issue out of an $85 difference?

Back to the topic,
I use two jacks, one on the left, one on the right and make several "trips" around the car jacking the car up. I will get the rear up first, then place jackstands under the frame. I then move the jacks to the front jacking points and slowly bring the front up until I can get the jackstands under the front crossmember. It takes about 20-30 minutes but I get the car a good way off the ground safely.
I almost lost my head once working on a car that was supported unsafely while I was doing a roadside brake job. I was lucky to have a friend behind me who reacted quickly and yanked me back out of the way as the jack teetered forward and the car crashed into the ground. It was a very scary experience that could have easily put me in a wheelchair. Sorry, I don't mean to frighten people from working on their cars, just be safe about it. "Teeter-Tottering" cars is not a good idea IMO.

This shows an option before someone gets hurt. And how it works on a 993.

^^^If your not a sponsor or a member, are you allowed to pimp your stuff here? I think not....
It IS a nice solution for the problem. But at almost $300 for a pair, it a tough sell. Of course I paid about $120/pair for ESCO stands, but double that, not adjustable height...
