Orange heat exchanger hose
So, search being my friend, I looked there to see what people are doing if they need new orange heat exchange hose (p/n 000 043 205 04) since Sunset has none and Pelican wants $280+ for too much for my needs. I found people who bought the entire length and sold some here, which I might do if I can't find a decent replacement or the length I need.
Here's my question: Is there a non-Porsche part substitute or does anyone have some from being the same predicament?
TIA

Are you looking for the round hose? (sorry, don't have the parts diagram handy) If so, how much are you looking for--I have a section in my garage and can cut a piece for you.

If you aren't **** about keeping the orange color (though I'm sure you can find similar suppliers for orange tubing), the above link is the solution.
Not only is it a better thicker product, its so much cheaper its insane.

BSL: The hose is item 7 in the this pic, and I need 45mm according to the parts book. If that's what you have, email me at joshuaweinstein at ymail dot com and we can arrange payment, shipping, etc.
If that doesn't work out, thanks quadcammer, I'll try those guys.

I was looking at these guys the other day when someone here posted their link - seems like they have a lot of what you're looking for. No affilitation of course.

When I backdated the heat and put SSI's on my SC, I got the hose from Aircraft Spruce. I don't think it was silicon, but held up very well under grueling track conditions.

Sorry to dredge up this older thread, but wanted to pass along an excellent source for this hose.
If you find, like I did, that you need to replace the short red connector hoses for the heat control boxes (PET no. 000 043 205 04), don't get ripped off by the parts houses/dealer. Most will want $170-$285 for a much longer piece than you need (and many call it special order so not in inventory).
Search for "2-3/4 inch turbo silicone connector hose" and you'll find many sources. I got a great 6" long piece of red hose for $5.00 plus $5.00 for priority shipping from Roadrace Engineering - Lydia was great to work with. Had the needed hose in two days and cut the needed two 2" long pieces.
This is almost always available in red (maybe not an exact match to the Porsche part color) and are of a thicker, more substantial material.
Hope this helps!
