Default I have a simple question re brakes

For a while my front right has been locking up under heavy braking. I have spent countless hours trying to get to the bottom of it. Today I took it to the shop and hooked up the OBD scanner and it all checked out fine. No ABS lights come on either. Everything looks perfect.
But then I remembered something that might be relevant. after doing the HD's install. The connector block where you plug the speed sensor and I think the pad sensor into, doe's it matter if you get the plugs into the wrong hole?
I re-bled the brakes but I knew they were fine.
Hopefully someone will say yep, wrong hole....and that's never good
Thanks
Graham

if i remember correctly the holes are keyed so they only go in one way.... There is an empty hole though that it will fit... Thats easy to check... But I would think you would get and ABS error if the sensor was not detected....

im curious, please let us know what you find.

Will do, but they both seem fit into the same hole.

First make sure the ABS warning light bulb is functional. Turn the key to position 2 (engine off). you should see the warning light illuminated.

As mentioned above, you shouldn't be able to switch connectors.

Cheers,

Hey mate. Good to hear the OBD2 tester worked on your car - I was certain the ROW 1995 993TT was OBD1. Goes to show I dont know nada LOL!!

Good luck chasing down the problem. I hope you can resolve it. Could it be the ABS control unit? That would show a fault when cycling tho on the OBD2...

Cheers

I was kind of hoping the scanner would show a fault, but no. yes the bulb is fine.
I reckon it's something silly like a cable or what ever, but tomorrow I will go and do some skids and see if the swapping the terminals worked.
Whatever it is surley has to be on that wheel though. There's very little there really. If it was something else wouldn't the other wheels lock?
Strange fault. Maybe a mini dealer/indi needs to have it for a while.
Better start saving now!
