Default Need Help Pulling out a seat in a 993

Trying to change out a seat on a 993 and the electric seat does not move forward.. Seems the switch is broken.. Is there a way to move it manually? Or override the system??

Passenger seat? Is it stuck in the farthest rear position? We have had this problem and I recall hearing of this from others. Do a search. As I recall rocking the seat and and moving the switch back and forth will free it up. Problem is it gets stuck in the rearward position.

Yes, you can move the seat manually with a screwdriver once you remove the drive cables.

If all these things dont work, just remove drive cables in front front transmission (under plastic and remove metal clip). Use cordless screwdriver on each cable a couple inches at a time side to side. Thats how we do it when no power in car and need to pull seat.

Thanks All

We tried every trick in the R-List "book"... Finally violently shaking the top of the seat while someone hit the switch did the trick!

Outstanding. But you missed the fun of sitting in the seat and doing it yourself.
