Hmmm, not sure why your seats are fouling the footwell. There should be sufficient clearance, and you should be able to install into the rear most holes without any change in the geometry. Can you post a few pics?

I have had stock Porsche seats and Recaro hardback racing seats in a couple of 911's. I'm also 6'2" with long legs, and simply installing in the rearmost mount holes has worked in both cars. I don't know why your seat would be impacted by a footwell.

You will also benefit from a dish steering wheel like the Momo Mod 7, which allows you to stretch back a bit and still have the wheel at hand. Sport seats are awesome. A bit heavy, but my favorite stock seat by far. Much more grip than the 993 hardback seats.
As suggested, moving the steering back helps with knee clearance for longer legs. Moving the steering wheel up with an eccentric spacer helps too. I'm a little over 6-2 and with the seat moved to the aft location and steering wheel moved back and up, the car is driveable. The power seats are still too high in my opinion. A pole position seat is great but not an ideal solution.
I recently sold my 993 and have this set up for sale in the marketplace.

Gentlemen thank you for the replies. Today I moved the the seats to the rearmost mount holes. Definitely more room. Thanks again!

Great little mod! I just moved the passenger seat rails to the rear position on the C2S and, now, my 6'-4" stepson will have a little more legroom.
