I think the C4 already has a bushing that is close to RS stiffnes.
Thats why Carnewal states that it is only an upgrade for 2wd cars (but i might be mistaken).
The bushing with the 993 part number looks almost the same as the RS bushing pictured at the top of this thread, don't know about the diameter yet, but I will give you guys an update when i receive it.

Thanks, Akerlie...I'm interested to know how it turns out. The PET shows diffferent parts for G64 (C4) and G50 (C2) transmission mounts. Parts 1-14 are for the C4, and 15-27 for the C2. The C4 mount looks like it has an additional bracket as part of it. I haven't looked under my car, so just going by this info.

The bracket I tok of was the number 1 bracket, to be able to take it out I had to loosen number 8 bracket.
I should receive the RS bushing before the weekend, will keep you posted.

I'm sorry to be right. I hope you can get a refund. I wonder if anyone like Elephant Racing will ever make a sport hardness C4 rubber tranny mount? Thanks for posting the details. Good to understand how it is different.

I am also sorry i mislead you. Fortunately I am able to get a refund as the local porsche shop had the RS mount in stock.
I guess the RSR mount could be machined down to C4 specs, must admit I am a little tempted to check it out

I wanted to Thank everyone for the feedback.
I decided on the stock mount. Now to see if I can make an installation tool that will let me change it while the trans is in the car. I have an idea but won't know if it works until I try it.
From search results it seems nobody has actually posted a successful in car install on a 2WD 6 speed yet. I'll let you know what happens.

Got my RS mount yesterday. Looks like the trans has to come out. I will wait until I have to replace the clutch and install a LWF..... MORE MONEY...

I removed mine while the trans was out but if you really needed to I think you could do it while it is in the car. If you lower the engine a little bit.
I used a hole saw to cut out the rubber center, then used a hacksaw blade to cut through the mount sleeve then chisel and punch it the rest of the way out. Go slow and don't cut into the trans.
If you have removed and installed front control arm bushings this seemed much easier to remove than those, alot less hammering.
When I put in the other mount I chilled it in the freezer for a couple of hours and lightly heated the trans with a little butane torch, just enough to make it warm to the touch, it went in pretty easy but I think the stock style mount is going to be more difficult.
I will be attempting install while the trans is in the car this time so when my new mount get's here I will let you know if my homemade install tool works and how to make it, or just let you borrow it.
