My 95 had 63,000 miles on when i got it, both toe links, front control arm bushings and shocks were toast, replaced all of it, and also installed ROW springs, obviously made a HUGH difference.

You are right! I just found out that my brother ordered ERPs from Tarett! I thought they were Taretts since he was talking to Ira. Oh well, I would have gotten Taretts due to their price.

When I bought my car at 101k mi I had it aligned shortly after picking it up. The shop found the toe-links were shot so I upgraded to the ERPs + Tarett Locking Plate kit + Baker booties. A bunch of links and more info here:

Okay, I will play the designated "dumb-question-asker" here:
How do toe links become "shot" - by what means do they deteriorate and how does one know that the toe links are "shot"?
What is the advantage of replacing them with non-OEM parts? Greater suspension adjustability, greater durability, or what?
TIA

With mine the ball joints were worn out at 63,000, they were very sloppy and loose. Drivers side was much worse. Only ordered one but when the new one came i compared it to the passanger side one and it was obvious both need replacing. prettey easy DIY. Got a proper alignment afterwards.
