Damn, Porsche should have made that car... Simply stunning. Nice work.
Blake-- Thanks, brother. From you - the 911 Speedster Registry expert - that means a ton!

Many unknowns & leaps of faith when I bought 'Speedy' in 2008 & finished her build, but a no-brainer IMHO was the combination of new 'Fuchs' to finish her modernized homage to the iconic WB '89 Speedsters & their wheels.

Worst was the wait, though, since I had the idea ~2 years before anyone finally put 'em on the market. My Porsche dealer pulled strings last year, & scored what they say is the first in the world on a customer's car (other than owners of the limited edition 997 Sport Classic itself).

Many enthusiasts at last weekend's Fiesta New Mexico went out of their way to voice the same opinion as you.
Plus, Speedy garnered an invitation to Sep's Sante Fe Concorso, "Need For Speed" exhibit.
...& the Concours d'Elegance judges awarded the red jalopy Best in Class.

Just imagine the pure WIN if Speedy had a Riviera Blue sister

Very light turnout this Sat but we did have John Hummel (JHummel68) come down from Louisville for a visit. Good to see him again. Hopefully he'll make it back for one of the larger turnout (Ferrari) Sat's.

With it being 4th of July I'm not sure how big a turnout we'll have next w/e either. I'll probably go and find out though.

Tannermash, thanks for posting the pictures. I forgot to take the bra off the front when I got there. Bill, my son and I had a good time driving down regardless of the turn out. We got to hang out with with you and Arena993 for the morning. We always enjoy looking at cars.
It was funny to see the Ferrari and the Mustang pull out so fast when they heard a very distant rumble of thunder. Maybe their windshield wipers didn't work and that is why they left so quick.

It's Jeremy's friend, they race together. Everyone turned their heads when that car was coming down Cool Springs Blvd.

His name is Michael Poole and he's a good track buddy of mine. The GT3 get thousands of hard track miles a year; however, he keeps is spotless when not in use. Here is a video of us having some fun at Barber:

An incredible C-n-C Sat. in spite of the heat. Just an outstanding selection of both cars and bikes. An authentic Shelby Cobra, a G.T. 350, McClaren (sp ?) and a host of many others.

Had a VERY special car there, a '93 Jaguar XJ 220, one of only 10 in the US and apx 270 in the world and this was the last car made (per the owner). Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, I took some pics w/ my cell phone but hopefully Tannermash (or someone else) was there with a camera and can post some photos.

This is NOT the XJ 220 that was there but will have to suffice until I can upload from my cell:

Glad that the mysterious Tannernash was there to get pics of the Jag. Also interesting about the car is that in place of the standard 12, it had a special turbocharged V6 that was meant for Le Mans. Other crazy cars included an F40, several nice Porsches and a Fairlady (Japanese-spec 240Z) with a Skyline GTR motor, welded body etc... With the quality of cars coming these days, I wil need to start bringing my camera!
