Here's a clever interface for the CDR 210 Porsche/Becker radio units in the 993.

Not sure if I understood correctly. According to Solito the unit will work with both CDR 210/220. You run this INSTEAD of the CD Changer. It emulates the changer and will be controlled from the head unit like a changer. THis is why the number of songs is limited that you can store on the Solisto. What you need is a CD changer cable because the solisto unit hooks up into this plug. If you already have a changer and replace it with the solisto unit in the trunk: piece of cake. If not, you need to get the changer cable and place the unit where you want.
Hope this helps.

Once my winter projects are finished, this is top on my list!

I just installed the solisto extra and got it working. I am really pleased with this solution, a great way of playing tunes from from my iPhone on the CDR-210. I hid the cable under the passenger seat mat and placed the cigarette size box under the seat. Also worked with spotify and internet radio. Had to play around with it a little to assign proper playlist names (CD1, CD2 and so on), but once this was sorted I had no problems. Highly recommended.

Here is what I used on my CDR-220.

But they state not compatible with 210. Shoot them an email, they may have another solution.

Just installed an aux adapter from Discountcarstereo.com on my CR-210 with 6 disc changer. Works great but you have to control everything from your i-phone/i-pod. Easy plug in at back of the Becker. Model number of this adapter is their 3.5-BKRCD. You must have the CD changer in order for it to work. Cost approx. $21.00 + s/h. A good, inexpensive solution if you don't mind not being able to control the song selection from your head unit.

^ this is what I've done, as well. Frankly, I much prefer to control my music through my iPhone than the HU. To those that have gone with the Solisto, I have a few questions:
- How much does the darn thing cost (couldn't find that info on their website)?
- When using this setup, can you still choose to control your music from your iPhone?
- If the answer to the above question is, "yes," are you also able to access your entire library, or are you limited to the 800 or 900 songs that are stored on the Solisto device?
Thanks!

CR-210 with iP-BKRCD ipod player and charger adapter
I went with the iP-BKRCD ipod Adapter for the CR-210 with the CDC-3 Changer and it works awesome and charges too.
As long as you have the CR-210 and CDC-3 this is a much better and less expensive route to go. Changing over to the CDR-220 and having to send the deck to Becker to change out the display (cost$) and then still having to purchase the Aux cable for the ipod or iphone (cost$).
Sound quality with iP-BKRCD sounds just like my CD. Very clean No engine noise at all. Which I didn't expect since it connects directly into the ISO port.
Installation instructions: http://www.discountcarstereo.com/pdf/ip-bkrcd.pdf
Not much to see but here are the pictures.

I'm currently in the process of up grading the 93s OEM HiFI (POS Nokia) to that of a Dynaudio system out of a late MY07 VW EOS car with the 600w Dynaudio.
(Yeah,,, I know... what took me 12 years???) A couple of Dyn drivers mounted in the Porsche OEM HiFi positions and the Dyn/VW amp/active x-over, etc., (3C0-034-456-A) under the seat should do the trick - with no visiable modifacation.
The VW Passat Dynaudio system front speaker bucket arrangment looks like it could drop right in place behind a HiFi optioned 993 front door panel.
We'll see...
