Wasn't aware of any difference, but I'm not into the details that deep.

Cup 1s. On the car are OE 964 RSA 8", 52mm offset. One is horribly lip scratched from curbing by the previous owner, and were used as occasional race wheels on the first RSA. Rears are replica 9s, forget the offset. One is slightly bent from one too many off track excursions, but it balanced out OK and isn't that noticeable. 28mm worth of spacing to make them look sorta right on a widebody.

keep in mind that Chris owned a 993 GT2 for a bit, so he may be biased.
but
with his vast background in P cars, he is also very well suited to make such a judgment.

i certainly prefer my 993 over our 997.2, but don't fool yourself into thinking that the 997 is not A VERY CAPABLE CAR.
I have to push it harder / faster to get the same rewards, but they are available.

Thanks Ken. I've been looking for a set of Cup I's and they never come up for sale where I live.
