I'll be back in Boston in Mid-March. If Christian doesn't mind, we can be pushed back a bit so we get it at that time frame.

It's a subtle change. There still appears to be plenty of rubber in the whole steering chain somewhere...

+1. Slight increase in "sharpness" on turn in, but nothing earth shattering. Steering on my 993 felt tight to begin with, though.

I agree with the last two posters. I noticed a very subtle change, but it was not earth shaking. My next "mod" will be to install the Walrod bushings in the front A-arms. I've been told that that mod along with the tie rod pinning make a huge difference. I'll let you know after the install of the new bushings. I do agree though that the 993 has a huge amount of "slop" in the steering when compared to the other 6 P-cars I have owned over the years.

Default tie rod pinning tool

Did today--1 hour. Out to Gerry Kokoszka in Cal. tomorrow. I put some black zip ties in the package to run through the pins to make sure they won't come out--don't think they would anyway but better safe.... Thanks for this tool. Van

I received it and am done with it. It is an easy job. From the previous correspondence it looks like nile and christian aren't ready for it until Mid March. On 12/27/11 I sent JPS a private message requesting shipping information as he is next on the list. To date I have not gotten a rely. I will send a PM to Garth to see what he wants to do and who should get it next.
