Good eyes. It is a "Harley Bell". When I went down on the freeway with my wife on the back (hit a matress that was dropped in front of me) a buddy gave it to me. I quit bikes after 30 years of street riding and got into the 993. Thus, the Harley Bell came to the 993.

Interesting to hear the reasons why people buy a car like the 993. I've been a dedicated street rider since I was 16 (I'm now 46) and with the exception of 5 years in Italy, have always had a bike. The Italians and the way they drive killed any desire to be on 2 wheels. I reached a point in my life where I felt the risks were no longer justified. I've been knocked off my bike a couple of times (all at low speed) and have had a fair few near misses but I've been lucky and never been 'nailed' or broke a bone in a crash. I still have my Aprilia V-twin but wanted a 'distraction'. The 993 was it and although I had my doubts, I invariably pick up the P-car keys. I've owned the car for almost 6 months and so far the ride has been great, and in no small part down to the great community spirit on this site.

I was due. I too had been riding on the street since I was 15 1/2; 1969. I had Yamahas, Hondas, Kawasakis and finally a Harley. Lots of close calls then the big one. Several broken bones and surgeries for the wife and I. Went back on for awhile but I was too cautious. The 993 cab was a good step. The turbo was even better. I miss motorcycles, but I am done.

No way.... they all have stories.

BTW Chuck, you got a badass 993 there.

I have a Hog in the garage barely ridden. 3 kids with 1 on the way. These real life
stories have me considering selling and putting the money towards mods. It only
takes one accident...scary stuff.
