We had a great time on this run last year and are looking forward to it again.

See you on the 31st.

If there is room for a 964, I am going to try and make it. put me down for 50/50 depending on family activities.

I think I might be there too. After a little rest from the 8 week jaunt abroad. Will need to get my fix driving the 993.

Strange, strange weather up here right now....It stayed 34 degrees all day up until about 4:30 PM...Now, it's 53...

We had a lot of ice on the roads this morning, all of the state roads and many of the major county roads in North Georgia have salt/gravel on them. Richard Russell, Blood Mountain, Wolf Pen Gap and a lot more of the planned route are all icy right now.

We still have two weeks until New Years Eve....I've seen weather on that date that ranges from sunny and in the mid-60's to snow and in the teens.

A three day forecast is about as far out as one can look this time of year and be anywhere close to sure about the weather....Sometimes, the three day isn't good enough...I'm sure that everyone who ran last year remembers leaving Home Depot in the sun and driving home in snow...We'll just have to wait and see...We can start getting serious next Wednesday...

Count Me In.. I have a camera mount on the cage of the GT3 like I had on the 993 so I'll do a remake... Unfortunately it won't have the sweet air-cooled sound.. Just a screaming one up to 8,400 RPM.. Of course if snowy I'll have to bring the AWD cousin..

We'll record an audio track in my car and fly it in under your video - we'll have the best of both worlds, then: my air-cooled sound, and your driving skills!

This year, I'm going to do something truly radical: buy new rear tires BEFORE the New Year's run. With last year's abrupt ice storm, my nearly bald tires made for a harrowing return trip down 400.

Same here. I can actually get down my driveway now as all the snow is long gone.
