New shoes baby!
I've been salivating over the 997 Carrera Classics since the first time I saw them. Initially I thought they wouldn't fit, but after doing a ton of research and measuring, I decided to pull the trigger. I haven't seen any 997 NB wheels on a 993 NB except for the RSCS replica in white with "lobster forks."
Specs:
Front - 19x8 ET57, 225/35R19 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo, 6mm spacer
Rear - 19x11 ET 67, 285/30R19 Hankooks
My car has less clearance on the passenger side than the driver side, but both sides have rolled fenders in the rear. I am getting a slight kiss on the right rear at about the 10:30 position on the tire (see photo), so I will have to roll the fender a tad more. The slightly rearward touching may be to an alignment error at the rear (see below).
Car is at RS height or a few mm lower, and rear camber is approximately -1.8 to 2 degrees. I think the shop that did my alignment a few years ago put too much toe-in at the rear, as my previous set of rears got really chewed up on the inside. I'm going to try to dial out just a hair of rear camber and check the toe angle. No issues with the fronts, and I used a small spacer to pull them out to match the factory front specs (18x8 ET52, these are 18x8 ET57).
The tires seem great so far, I purchased them for the price and the reviews. Bought them from Gripston.com for $660 or so (free shipping) and Hankook has a $60 mail-in rebate if you purchase by the end of November. Not bad for 19" tires! I was worried to go to 295/30 in the rear, and they were one of the few companies to offer a 285/30R19. I notice more tread squirm at full depth than the BFG KDs (discontinued), but overall they ride great, are quiet, and are excellent in the rain. As you can see, the 285 doesn't look too bad on the 11" wheel.
Ride quality difference is negligible between these and 18" MY02s with 235/40R18 and 285/30R18. Wheels are heavier than the MY02s, so I notice a slight difference there. Car does not see any track duty. For the roof rack haters (I know you are out there!), it's a temporary thing for me for functionality (haven't used it yet though) and to just change the look up. Change is good.

Thanks guys. They definitely have a bit of a steamroller look, although the close-up pictures accentuate the size. I'll get another shot from the front 1/4 angle as well, they look best from that angle IMO.

I've got about 2K miles using the GT3 castoffs. Ready to switch back to the nearly new tires on the 18" wheels for the winter/rain since they have measurable tread. The extra weight (5 lbs rear) and 1" larger diameter don't mean much on the street. Just have to watch the speedo as it now reads about 5mph low at freeway speeds.
Oh, and roof racks are functional. Only way to transport the bikes if I don't want to bother with the truck.

Ken, I actually pulled the trigger on the roof rack after seeing that exact picture of your car! I don't have an efficient system to put the bikes in my truck bed, so I bought the rack. Then it got cold... and I decided not to spend the money on the actual bike mounts until next season. These cars can be very practical and efficient with a little creativity. My dog rides to the shop with me every day on the back deck; it is like a nice little bed back there (have a Lloyd's plush mat on order from FDM to make it a little "cushier").
