I use a piece of clear rubber 1/4" fuel line from a lawnmower cut about 2" long and plug one end with a screw. It slipped over the fitting and stayed without leaking for about a month while I worked on the calipers.

I'm extremely happy with how my brakes turned out. I went with the flat black and it coudn't have come out any better. Here are some pics of them before I put the decals on.

I made a cap out of some clear tubing with a screw in the end to plug up the brake line. The fluid drips out some but never gushed out and I used a metal pan to catch the excess. It does get a little messy and I wore latex gloves to protect my hands. I cleaned anything that got brake fluid on it right away. Fun stuff.

There will be no 'Gushing' or 'Fountains' of brake fluid. Without any pressure in the system (ie no one pressing the brake pedal) The fluid will only drip out, quickly at first but a drip all the same. The fluid can be easily captured with some well placed rags or I put the end of the brake line in the neck of a plastic bottle to catch the fluid.

if you still have the rubber lines simply clamp them with vise grips. you'll probably have to borrow some if you do all 4 at one time (unless you have 4 sets of vise grips). not sure what will happen if you clamp the s/s lines.

Thanks, but I will take the calipers to a powder coating shop I've used in the past. At this point, I've stripped all four calipers and am almost finished bead blasting them.

I already have rebuild kits/stencils/decals on hand.

Andreas: i had mine done and they are OK (I know I owe pix when I get back home.) I concur withe above. You would do a better job than my powder guy (and probably anyone else).

G2 will make custom colors if you want to paint them yourself, I just got some made up in Arena Red:-)

when painting- you compress the pistons all the way, but should the ends be covered when painting? and/or what get's taped of when painting -assuming they are off the car completely?

Mix-up at the powder painter. Supposed to be blue rotors and silver hats, but it's 2+ hours roundtrip (i.e. 4+ hours for a redo), so WTH, they're different. They appear darker with wheels mounted than in direct sunlight. Color is cobalt blue:
