Theres really no point in arguing what is the "correct" price. As with everything there is a price spectrum which is affected by supply and demand and ultimately the current market condition and economy. There will always be too good to be true deal and cars that are priced to sit. Here is a car that I think is priced right and sits on the top of the bell curve: link

I have not paid attention to 2S market, so not sure what to say on this one. I'm mostly interested in C2 pricing and can discuss that.
The black car with 39K miles for $30K asking price is a good example of top of the curve for a C2, I agree. And it'll sell for less than $30K. Where, oh, where, are all the "resenters" with their sales in 30s?

And how do we know that these sub $20K 993's aren't just priced low to drum up interest? The ol' bait and switch routine......not like it hasn't happened before on Rennlist

This is just.... Do you have _any_ facts, or are you going to continue with insinuations and wild guesses completely unsupported by anything?
In this very thread there are 3 examples of 993s sold for under 20K and one bought for 21K with sports seats (easily sellable for $3-4K if needed). John.D, the creator of Rennlist (not that I would expect you to even know who he is) bought his 993 for well under $20K. Do you have anything of substance to say to contradict that?

John freely admitted multiple times that his purchase was not indicative of the market...and it was so long ago that it is no longer relevant.
There are a number of Rennlist sponsors that see 993 transaction prices...perhaps their opinions would be worth considering.

Matt, you have put forward your opinion. Completely unsupported by any facts. If asking you for data insults you, well, there's not much to say about your opinion, is there?

DC, you are correct, seeing actual pricing would support (what a great surprise!) the market value of 993.
So far several selling prices have been reported in this very topic. They support my assessment, and I will repeat it in condenced form here for '95 C2 coupe:
- Under $20K for a higher mileage driver
- Low $20K for a decent driver with 70-80K miles
- High $20K for a low miles car in very good condition
If anyone has any FACTS to dispute that, please do so. If not, this is yet again an attempt to argue with faith based believes. Which is hilariously funny and Quixotic. I mean, arguing with people who _resent_ facts.
