Calender/Poster Combo for 2011
I do not want to step on any toes but I have not seen a proposed 2011 calender and would like to take a stab at it if no one has any objections.
Idea....I think it would be fun to include a full color POSTER with next years calender. I also have a few questions;
1. Do we include RL Member cars only?
2. Do we include other Porsche models/911 generations? (944, 997, etc) or keep it strictly 993? (My first choice)
3. How much are you willing to spend for a Calender/Poster Combo? (yes, I will make sure it is High Quality and worthy of displaying in your Garage)
Thanks for your input/interest...and again, if someone has something in the works already I will certainly put this off for another time.

#2-all 993, all the time
#3-$30-35 range probably, maybe more if proceeds go to a good cause and/or if my car is in it
sounds like a great undertaking. I would suggest a large format calender, so that each monthly photo can be used as a wall hanger after the fact. Let us know if/when you want photo submissions for it.
Good luck!

Years ago I used to create large format (17 x 11) calendars using Cafepress.com. Still have them hanging in the garage. They list for $17 or $19 depending on size. You need really good hi-rez images for them.
I stopped using cafepress because they clamped down on trademark usage even if it was on a car. For example, a prominent Porsche logo on an image would get banned by them.
Never found a really good alternative solution for large format and small runs of 10-20 calendars however.

I helped out on last years. The problem we ran into was getting enough high-res photos.
But to answer your questions.
RL members only
ONLY 993s
Depends. Last year I think we donated to Rennwish with proceeds, which seemed to generate some interest.

Yeah, hi-rez was also a challenge for me too. I'm a moderator over at IWSTI.com and created the first two calendars. Where we didn't have enough hi-rez for the 12 months I simply had to make a collage of images from members.

Speaking of High res, I like your website/flicker...especially some of those E. PA prison images.

Justin-- You & Jim (Hound Dog) did an incredible job.
Andy-- Current calendar ends March 31. Is your dream still alive?
I luv the idea. Would be flattered if you're the least bit interessted in this shot I took. I have more if you want others; likewise, a few friends may want to contribute theirs.
Regarding resolution, this one's available up to 3,264 x 2,448 pixels; 314 dots per inch; 3.95 MB:

Quoted by Curve Lover......."Andy-- Current calendar ends March 31. Is your dream still alive?"
It wasn't...but...maybe if we get a slew of images in the next week or two I will have one made.
Nice photos btw! Thanks

Craig-- Very slick ^^ &, wow, your ride height rocks!
Andy-- Thrilled to hear a 2011 RL calendar may be made
You might consider asking a moderator to make a 'sticky' thread -- could garner more exposure & inputs.
Really glad your eye liked the above shot. Another for your consideration, with RLer Aircooled's 993 (available up to 3,264 x 2,176 pixels; 1,088 dots per inch; 2.83 MB):
