I do have a question about that. I am looking for a 993, and a car like this is extra nice, right color, right priced, but I'm unsure about the tip versus manual. is the tip slower, or more from an driving experience perspective?

Geez, wish it was almost any other color than Guards Red - had that on my 944S2 Cab and it did a funky fade on some of the platic painted parts. tjeff, the tip is a tad slower and heavier, but be realistic - you are looking at a Targa do how intense are you going to get at the track? This is a pretty car though.

It is generally accepted that a Cup sequential is faster than the PDK which is faster than a 6 speed which is faster than a Tip.

I agree, looks really clean, but the Tip for me is a deal killer. it depends on what you want the car for, if its around town, perhaps, but even then I feel the Tip needs to be manually shifted, it shifts too low in the RPM band for my taste. The resell value will reflect this.

Cheers,

Mike
