Chuck W., you da man! $100 sounds better than $362 for the same results! Anxiously await your thread.

agreed!
this is the whole reason many people who are not in the know, sell these cars.
they get raped big time by the dealer.
this seat belt story is small potatoes compared to some of the things I know people have been taken for at the local dealer.

How about $1,900 for wiper blades, oil change and thorough look over. (993 cab) - this person sold the car after that

or 3k to replace a fuel pump, 10 hour diagnosis, when all it really need was a sensor. (964C4) - this person now goes to a trusted independent

Some of us are lucky to have a good dealer with guys that do know the 993's. Plus we have 2 independant shops (at least) that are also very good.

Now on the BMW side it's another story....

I am interested in a black button stop. Mine fell off years ago and it never bothered me enough to get a new one!

Thanks,

If all works out we should be able to do both front belts for under $100. The webbing is the same auto makers use. Stand by....... I'll start a new thread with my finding and photos.
I am very interested in this. I'd love to see if I could apply this to my Mustang as well. do they have a orange seat belt"?

Yes they do. I should have the thread written up and posted by Thurdays or Friday at the latest.
