How's the ride?
So far so good. Pretty quiet inside except for the exhaust. Amazing that the stock exhaust sounds like that!!

congrats. 04 R32 would be my pick too. but not until the green monster leaves the stable..
.

Nice! I always wondered why VW never made an AWD GTI?????

Sorry to be so ADD, but did you know that Gator is eligible for parole this year??
I should get him to sign my board! I was told it is already worth $1200 as is so with a signature probably a lot more.

Cool, thanks. Have to add this to my short list.

Sorry for the ignorance, what's the Gator?

Frightening that he's going to be eligible. I can't tell, but it looks like your board is a Gator 2 with the jagged lined spiral. I'd say it might have been worth close to $1200 if it was in mint condition a few years ago, but like everything else the bottom dropped out of the vintage skateboard market. I'd say you're looking at about $600-700 today.

BTW, dig the new wheels. Good yob, man.

Here's a nicely modded very low mileage (7,800 miles) one on eBay. Pricey, but nice.

I had a blue MkIV R32 for a couple of years. Got it in 2005 with 7K miles on the clock for $25K. Sold it a year and a half later for $30K.

Some day I'll get another one, I loved that car.

Love it Cactus! Wish I had one of those instead of my 4runner for a daily but I'd probably just have another car to worry about b/c I love it so much!

I see kids around town with some pretty trick R32s and figure they'll probably be Porsche owners sometime in the future (or maybe they already are!)

Seeing the R32 makes me really miss my VW Rabbit GTI that I once had with all the cool Neuspeed parts, centra wheels (big huge 16's), euro bumpers, and bumping Kenwood system. Most fun car I ever had next to the 993, followed by my gen II RX7 GXL.

Enjoy the new ride!

They did, they just never brought it to the US. 4-motion GTI's and Jetta's are much more prevalent over the pond.

In Europe you can get 4-door R32's and 6-speed MKV R32's.

I was going to post another clean R32 for sale, but Chuck W. beat me to it.

The MKIV R32's hold their values well, the MKV's don't have the same following because of the DSG only (Yet another US only thing)

That being said, turbo these things and they are a lot of fun. My buddies MKV R32 Turbo - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxjsKaAItnc

Cactus,

Here's a quick link to a vide. A few R32's joined up with us on one of Arrwin's Rennlist drives a while back. Couple of the R32's were from MA. The Blue one was absolutely sick....dyno'd at over +700HP.

Nice ride! I do wish that the MkV R32 had a 6 speed option. But the DSG makes it a great chick car. My wife loves her R32. She turned down a BMW 135i for it.

Drove it again last night and just can't get enough of the exhaust. Really happy with this purchase.
