Default Turbo Twists coming....what color/surface treatment for a Black 993?

I guess I'm looking for recommendations (and hopefully example pictures) on what mix of color might be good for these rims.

I have a set of 17" Cups on now in Silver. I do love a silver wheel on a black car. However I'm thinking maybe a powder coat in dark gray or black might make for a really impressive look.

I came across an Audi S4 that has this treatment on a set of HRE's...it's pretty nice.

Other thoughts? Pics to share?

I like black with black - a silver edge also looks great. powder coat is more durable than paint and I've seen some great looks in gun metal grey as well. wheels are such a personal taste issue!

I am have been toying this as well.
On a black car, flat black looks good, as does gunmetal, light grays, with red accents.

Anthracite is pulling me in.

I think the stock silver is the best for turbo twists. Gold or black with a silver outer rim face is always nice too (like the BBS wheels)

Not a fan of all black. A little contrast is more appealing. I think the stock silver might actually be the best combo on your car as noted above. Hard to resist the desire to make them different though. Next best alternative would maybe be a gun metal color.

Personally, I think the "twists" look best in stock silver, particularly on a black car.

I also agree w/ Tim...Silver for the Twists. Although, the Forgeline wheels w/ gunmetal center and polished lip or the HRE's are very nice alternatives...

cp993C2S - ^ that (LAST PIC) is STUNNING

Agreed with all that Twists need to stay silver but white also works for me:

I found an earlier picture of my car with the black/silver wheels which came with the car. They are not twists as you requested but at least it will give you an idea of what they look like in the Cup wheels.

I am interested in this as well. Does anyone have a pic of black turbo twists on a black car?

I'd go with "titanium silver" that is found on some of the BMW "M" wheels (think M5). It has a graphite colored look to it but picks up some silver in the light. That would give you the darker look you are thinking about but also provide a little bling that would show off the wheel contours.

I normally like black, but the last few wheels I have seen that had complex shapes (not just simple spokes) did not look as good to me because the black tends to hide the complex curves. A high gloss black might mitigate that a bit.

I say stock silver on a black car looks great. I think the turbo S finish could be really cool, too.

If you go with a dark colored center on a dark color car I think it looks best if you leave the lip silver/polished.

Ditto everyone else. I'd say that stock silver twists look good with any color 993.

I like stahlgrau with polished silver lips. I did this on my Arctic silver car. Looks a bit more menacing than the silver on silver look.
