best shocks and lowering option
#16
Did a ton of reading on this and decided to start w/ M033 set-up, which is RoW heights, standard ride (not the sport M030) and no change to the sway bars. I don't track the car and needed to get it lower w/o big changes in ride. If this isn't what I'm looking for...will go to PSS10's, given their full adjustability. We'll see...

I've done both the euro M030 and MO33 with the factory Monroes on a cab. You will stiffen the ride considerably if you run 18's with the M030, so much so to make it uncomfortable in a cab (lots of cowl shake). The M033 makes for a nice daily driver setup. If you're running 17's with either coupe or cab, I'd definitely go the M030 route.

I kept my m-30 sways , changed to h&r sport springs & hd's. My car came from the factory with a sport chassis and a full m-30 set up! The ride is very stiff but I find it very comfortable. My wife has never complained.
I set it very low-at rs height basically. I can drive it anywhere all day-plus it really hunkers down at speed.

Another option not yet mentioned are the Koni Sport Adjustables. They are a little less expensive than the HD's and from what I've read the ride is not as harsh as the HD's. You can find them in the US at Paragon Porsche in Texas (no affiliation) or carnewal.com in Brusssels (I think he's got them for about 1K right now.)
I'd love to hear what others have to say about the Koni's as I am considering them or the HD's.

Exactly the same with my car. Is it the shocks that cause the bumpy ride? I've changed from H&R springs to MO33's and it's slightly better but you wouldn't want to go too far on a bumpy b-road.

The M033 (Monroe) shocks are not known to last very long so the Konis are probably the better option.
