...The Escape is a smaller, non-competitive event held on the opposite side of the continent to the Porsche Club Parade. Usually its held end of August, and its at Sun Peak, which is outside Kamloops, British Columbia.
Sun Peaks is up in the mountains, so there are lots of interesting roads to drive, as well as a mountain village (similar to Whistler, B.C.) to show the cars. The weather was iffy, but totally cooperated for the show.
Cheers,
Mike

Thanks for the pictures Rob and Mike.
I was there with MikeJ and Rob as well. We all had a great time. Since my wife and I had a week off we went over to Jasper and Banff prior to the Escape. Some great drives for sure.
The black slant nose was an original car. One of 60 imported to North America. The red slant nose had some sort of modifications, according to the owner of the the black slant nose (not sure what they were). The turquoise car (number 010) was one of only seven imported to North America.

I was a long time attendee at the Whistler Weekend event that was a predecessor to this. It has grown quite a bit. I'll have to make plans to attend next year. We've been to the resort to ski, but no the off season.

Don't forget this was an unusually large event this year with the Escape...it at least twice the size as normal. However, even the normal event is a lot of fun!

Thanks for posting the pics. Some awesome cars, and it appears to be a great site. "Escape" is a great concept. Anyone know when / where is the next one? When / where is the next Parade?

Next Escape is in Flagstaff but not sure exactly when. I am not sure about next years Parade but I believe it will be in Savannah and the the following year it will be in Salt Lake City.
