Hey A ~
I sure hope you end up with a Cayman S. I can't picture the president of a PCA region in anything but a Porsche. Heck, I can't picture you in anything but TRGASM.
I can't believe that you are parting with TRGASM.
It is such a part of you. Porsche is such a part of you.
That being said, times change and we change and I totally understand. Sometimes change is good....... and sometime it's not (boy do we know!!!)
Say Hi to Keith for us and good luck with the sale!
PS: Speaking of Keith..... Fair is fair, I say the Lotus has to go too. Love is a two way street

Ha! I like that plate idea!! I was thinking GRL PWR instead. But hey, I'm open-minded.
And if I don't end up with a Caymoan, it will only mean I'm between Porsches, not without. You are right JoAnne, Porsche is a part of me, no doubt.
But with that, I would like to add some thoughts:
I really cherish Rennlist and the folks I have met here. You guys and gals really made my experience so much more than just the car. Any question was answered, I always felt welcome, and the camaraderie here is simply priceless. What an experience!!! So without getting all gushy, just know that I couldn't possibly leave such a great group of people!! Times change, but friendship stays. Darnit...I'm all gushy now...
JoAnne and Dan - the Lotus is going too. It's not such a good track car in regards to longevity, and completely impractical.

Top end rebuild was at 120k. Clutch was at the same time. I had it inspected last month and the release bearings replaced. She's good as new.
Other notes:
Oil service and thorough inspection in July
New steering rack and full set of brake pads in March
New battery in February
New tires in January
Sorry to be so brief...I'm on a mobile device. Will post more later.

LOL!!! LOVE IT!
A - glad you two are playing fair and the Lotus goes too, not that there is anything wrong with a Lotus, other than the longivity problem
I'm with you on the friendship thing. This is a pretty cool place. Some members may tick us off from time to time, but all in all the folks hanging out here are a great bunch.
Glad you are going to have a Porsche again. I hope it doesn't take you as long as it is taking me to find what I want.

May I just say that in addition to very fond wishes like everyone else for you and the car personally...
I just LOVE to see these "higher" mileage cars come up for sale that are in such great shape. A testament to the build quality and gives hope for the rest of us. 120k miles before the top-end rebuild...just amazing.

Hmmm, the others are right, its a pretty big change! Going to miss a fellow Targa owner...
Best of luck on selling the car..you have high mileage but its been kept in great shape!
Cheers,
Mike
PS Subaru's make some pretty impressive cars with mod kits that, compared to Porsche, are dirt cheap.

Ed - I know, it's really weird to think of for me, too. Eight years is a long time. But there is a silver lining. I just got wind of a Cayman that is just the right mileage, color, and price. And I have a new plate for it in mind: CAYMMM.
I might be able to make the transition. Maybe. As long as my Targa goes to a good home. First things first.
