Default FS: TRGASM (aka, 993 Targa)

Hi guys (and a few gals),

Well, the time has come for me to part with my beloved Targa.

Long story, and it has taken me months to get to this point. Long story short, my husband and I intend to get a dedicated track car. So alas, I am selling my Targa to make way. It's been a great car, and I miss it already. I just got the front turbo bumper, so it's all painted up nicely with not a single rock chip. She looks gorgeous and will make someone VERY happy, as I have been for the past 8 years.

So, if you know anyone looking, please send them my way.

Pertinent details below...

1996 Porsche 993 Targa, 6 speed manual, polar silver, grey. 183,xxx. All records from new.

Porsche Club President’s car, impeccably maintained, featured in Rennlist calendar and the book, King of Porsche. $22,450.

Exterior:
• Euro turbo front bumper
• Euro rear bumper
• Bumperette delete front and rear
• Clear corners
• Turbos S ducts
• Painted rear spoiler
• Glossy paint with no door dings, scratches, or rock chips

Interior:
• Aluminum Rennline pedals, including fully adjustable throttle
• Aluminum gauge rings
• Power driver and passenger seats
• Power tinted windows
• CD player, 350W amp, Planet Audio speakers

Engine:
• RS clutch kit with Lightweight flywheel
• Complete top end rebuild, including non-OEM valve guides, new exhaust valves, thru bolts, rod bolts and bearings, hydraulic lifters.
• Exhaust valves cut at racing angle by Moorespeed Race Engineering
• Dyno tested with 10% HP gain
• Billet aluminum valve covers
• Motorsound exhaust package
• Short shifter

Suspension:
• Pss10s
• Shock tower brace
• Lowered to RS height
• Front protection bar
• RS spec aligned and corner balanced

The car is in Austin. Feel free to stop by and give it a look. PM me for details/directions.

Denise - I know! So few of us out there, it's a shame. Such a lovely car, there should be more lovely lady drivers!!

I thought I saw it up around Georgetown the other day ... maybe it's another silver Targa.

I have a friend in Boston who's looking, will pass the info on ... GLWS.

Hi guys...it is with a heavy heart that my Targa is for sale. It's just time, and I really wish that she goes to a great owner like those here on Rennlist.

I've done my Rennlist homework, so I've done most of the fun upgrades to it. I tell ya, the Turbo bumper and MAShaw ducts I recebtly installed are the bomb!! Wow!! So the next owner will be pleased with it.

Oh and for track car, we are thinking spec Miata. Or perhaps a Cayman S. The Miata is hard to beat for price, durability, and the culture. Or should I say cult? We can relate to that here, right?!? If I had the space, I'd keep the Targa. I just got it like I wanted it!!
