SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH.... DESTINATION: HAWKS NEST
WE WILL MEET ON THE PALISADES PKWY IN THE COMMUTER LOT AT THE GAS STATION BY EXIT 5 AT 730AM AND DEPART AT 8AM.I WILL GIVE OUT THE ROUTE THAT WE WILL DRIVE

I'd like to consider it. The 12th of Sept is a no go for me. Cyclocross season starts that day, and it's the race I didn't get to do last year. My bro in law broke his collar bone in the race before mine, and I had to take him to the hospital.
Anyway, majority rules...but 9/12 is no good for me.

That should be the peak of the foliage in the Hawk's Nest / Southern Catskill region.
The peak always seems to hit there just about a week before the middle of October each year.

Edit: And for a 'spirited' drive, the earlier the start, the better.
Hikers, bicyclists, and leaf-peepers will be out in force from about 11:00am on through the afternoon.
