I know Paul wrote in his previous thread that he's not in a rush to sell, but that's the 1st time I've seen "I have decided I will be parting ways with my 993" followed promptly by "Help me pick my Next Mod for my 993!"
I was curious for closure / clarity.

Paul-- She's a looker. Hope she stays! Regardless, glad you're having fun with her

What sways do you have? If the non M030 stockers, you could get a M030 22mm front bar and a RoW turbo 21mm rear bar.

Depending on your state and emmissions situation my 700 (approximate) bucks would spent in this order:

1). Dach X cat delete pipes. Gives you an immediate aurel improvement, more throttle response, saves 20lb+ and probably helps make a tad more power. Of course that may be too loud with your mufflers - not sure. Id then drill or make cut outs in the airpox with a dremel or drill to save some $$. End result will be apparent every time you start the car.

2). Next xhoice would be the full FisterD SSk with short RS shifter. Makes a world of difference to the driving experience. You may well find like the rest of us that the plastic sleeved ball joint is on the way out anyhow so you can chaulk it up as preventative maintenance as well!

Look for my post "self gratification with pictures". In this post I outline about 20 "more expensive mods I have made, the cost and the +/-. Its a long post with lots of detail and its shortly to be added to with the last 10 mods i performed a few weeks ago....

Cheers
M

Most bang for the buck mod that WILL transform the way the car drives are:

1. RS Short shifter (~$150). I would just do the shifter and not the rod, but you can add washers to the shifter connector to stiffen it up.

2. Wevo/RS engine mount (~$150). Makes a big difference as the the engine will become part of the car.

3. Chris Walrod's front bushing (~$100). Big improvement in steering feel.

4. Strut brace. (~$150). Yep, I detected a small improvement in steering feel/response.

5. Drill through & secure the rubber part of the tie rod. ($0) Big improvement in steering accuracy and feel unless your tie rod is brand new.

6. LPMM. Take it to a muffler shop and have them do the mod for $100. Nice sounds.

Those above changes don't cost all that much but will transform the way the car drives. It'll change from an so-so-old-sport-car-that-is-getting-old to scapel-sharp-now-this-is-a-sport-car type of car.

Im glad I am keeping it too!
After the Suspension, Alignment and Corner Balance I LOVE Driving it way too much to let it go.
I have had several Sports cars in My life such as (2) 300ZX Twin Turbo's (one with 340WHP), Honda S2000, Modded 944 Turbo, Porsche 968, Subaru STI (Not really a "Sports Car"), and a Ferrari Mondial. None of those cars can touch the fun factor I get while driving this 993! and thats a FACT! lol.

1. Only $150? Where? The golden rod? Or some other Rod?
2. the factory RS mounts right? Are they solid?
3. How hard are these to install? Does a Alignment need to be done after that?
4. Got a Strut brace.
6. I have stage 2 Fister exhaust, is this some other mod? or a Muffler mod too?

1. Only $150? Where? The golden rod? Or some other Rod?

Part number 964 424 015 08. OMG...price is $75. This IS the part that makes the HUGE difference. The rod doesn't add that much more feel.

2. the factory RS mounts right? Are they solid?

I actually used Wevo Black Pillows. They are not solid.

3. How hard are these to install? Does a Alignment need to be done after that?

They are a TOTAL PIA to install. Prepare to cut yourself, burn yourself, and other ways of hurting yourself. There are threads for this. Search.

4. Got a Strut brace.

6. I have stage 2 Fister exhaust, is this some other mod? or a Muffler mod too?[/QUOTE]

Yep, it's a pipe connecting the muffler. Search for LPMM.
