Yes, as Ken stated above, at least the Turbo shares the air-cooled architecture. Again, I didn't say this, my mechanic did.

That said, at most your 997 Turbo is 3 years old. As someone said above, talk to me about build quality and interior rattles when the car is out of warranty. Anyone can make a new car run fine for the first 3-4 years. Thank goodness they've made so many 997 Turbos that you can just dump it and lease another

I over heard a VERY well known Porsche mechanic say something similar about the 996/997 (non GT/Turbo cars). His take was he loved them because they made him the most money!
