Next thing you know...... Hilarious this thread pops up because it has been a while since Andreas showed off his museum piece!

Some years ago there was a concours guy with a 928 that had made custom plastic covers for the underside to help keep it clean when/if he had to drive it...

A real cleaning, such as done by friend Mike in Monterey on cars like this Ferrari, run about $7,000 and very up.

Andreas, those arches look amazing, I'm getting there with my car, but the entire underside is nowhere near as good as yours yet.

Did you use Xenit and a hot pressure washer as Larpy has done? What is the difference between Xenit and Tarminator?

I used Bilberry then Tarminator on my arches, but it took ages to clean them; never properly cleaned in 15 years and 46k miles!

Just Xenit, water, brushes, rags, more Xenit, more water, etc.

Andreas--by "real cleaning" I meant merely basic preparation for Pebble Beach, certainly nothing approaching the immaculate splendor of your 933--you can't pay someone to do work like that.

$7,000 to prepare a car for a concours? Holy hell.

Thanks Andreas, I just found a place that sells Xenit in the UK. Now I'm screwed for the next twelve months.

Jackal from 911uk got me to the point that I'm at now with my arches, behind my lights etc. and I'm heading for RS spec under a C2 body with various upgrades.

Now you've taken it to a whole new level from a cleaning perspective!

Amazing work dude.

What was the $2800 for, ie. How many guys were working on the car.
I would happily pay this amount for you to get my car looking like Andreas's, but I doubt that this can be done in anywhere near 4 days by one person (unless the car was already at a very high standard).
