So I drove this 964R today. And I'm very frustrated.

P1CR,
Obviously you know nothing about cars, Porsches, or math. Everyone knows that if you paid more than $12,000 for your car then you have more money than brains. Don’t believe me, check Kelly Blue Book. As for your parts, they can all be bought from ChinesePorscheParts.com for about $180 total. That leaves labor. Please tell me you didn’t pay someone to work on your car. Anyone on RL would have gladly installed all of those parts on your car for you in an afternoon. Lastly, we all know that modifying a car in such a tacky and tasteless way only detracts from the value. Thus, I would say your car is worth about $9,000 as it will cost a bit to put it back to stock. Don’t even get me started on the 964R, what a pile.

P1CR - if it means anything at all...on Wednesday I was driving down Ventura Blvd eastbound going to the new Chipolte when I saw your car turn into the Chin Chin parking lot...I was in my Escalade and almost crashed while trying to make a u-turn to chase you down in your 993...Alas, I was late for lunch and didnt complete my turn...but boy, your car left an AMAZING impression on me..so much so that I remarked to my buddy at lunch what an amazingly sick 993 I just saw...set up perfectly on Speedlines..the right height, color and look...I was drooling...still am!
I know the 964R car...the owner lives up the street from my old house...its a gorgeous vehicle...but dont feel too bad about your car...I'd be happy to photograph it if it makes you feel any better!

Once I got to $100k...and saw the car was no where near complete....I just started chucking out receipts as I never wanted my wife to find out!....if she new that was a lake front condo on 4-wheels she'd kill me....its also not good to think about....build for the fun...I'm ready to build my next and I have no doubt it will go the same way!!!......

Stuttgarter, I'm thinking it is worth maybe $10,000.

You guys want to know of a car where there WAS an exacting spreadsheet over the build? Look no further than my '95.................. And it ALL went into mechancials. Feel fortunate to have bought it for a fraction of the dollars spent to buy and convert. As someone who has built every 911 I've bought, I feel no shame at all in just strapping in and heading out of the garage to the pit lane with nothing more than a tire pressure/lug check.
