I am unfamiliar with the aftermarket tools, however I do hear good things about Durametric so you might look into that.

Some of these parameters are generic OBD-2 so any scan tool would work ('96-on) but some are proprietary to Porsche and Durametric has somewhat cloned the PST-2.

Thanks Steve, I remember hearing about Durametric but when I looked into it there didn't seem to be a suitable product for an ODB-1 993 like mine. I will check again and report back here.
