Default free vanity plate from DMV

I actually had to ask for the next plate in line...I had 5910 first handed to me. The lady was gracious enough to let me have the next plate, when I mentioned the significance of the last three digit's.

I like it...get it?

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

ya, I know...you never watched the show, but your wife/girlfriend did...

Gotta love the "free" vanity plates. No extra $$$, and no vanity plate stigma. I've got normal plates on both of mine, each starting with 993.

Seems like everything is working out OK with your Porsche purchase, including your visit to the DMV. I guess this was meant to be.
Congratulations again!

Fab-5 is the Beatles! But I do know the other show.

Cool plate, I'm sure you will get some comments, & maybe a few passes.

Cool. I like the whole "random / custom" plate number thing. What's the deal with the lack of stickers? New York doesn't issue a new plate each year?

Close, Fab 4 is the Beatles. John, Paul, George & Ringo... unless you're counting Yoko?

NY gets yearly inspections along with tabs, stickers go on the windshield. Well, they did back in the 70's, think they still do. I'd rather have the stickers on the plate.

Wow...nice. But boy do I HATE the new plates. I was going to get a vanity plate, but if I have to have yellow on my car, I think I'll stick with my standard one.

What's the deal with the lack of stickers? New York doesn't issue a new plate each year?
NYS DMV are a bunch of arrogant ******** who don't understand cars. I don't get how anyone should conceivably be allowed to force me to put a dumbass sticker in my window. Cheapens the car and looks absurd. Not to mention much easier to forge and costlier to manage. Freaking idiotic dumbasses. Put a sticker on the plate like all the other states. <end rant>

Great plates Joe.

CT has moved to the inside windshield sticker too and the DMV folks here are about as nice as any guaranteed-for-life-government-union-too-bad-i'm-on-break-even-look-at-me-the-wrong-way-and-I'll-ensure-you-need-to-return-for-something-tax-dollar-inefficient organziation worker can be.

Oh yea, one other thing.....you want to actually park and drive that car in CT? Then you get to pay extra municipal property taxes every year on whatever value we determine your car to be. What? It's not worth that much? C'mon it's a Porsche it HAS to be worth a lot more than that! You rich guys are the cheapest MF on the planet.

I personally think the new New York State (blue and YELLOW) plates are hideous. That YELLOW color just jumps out at you -- and you notice the plate first -- rather than the car itself.
Poor basic research IMHO.

Yep, the new plates are horrible. Good thing they scrapped the idea of shoving them down everybody's throats. Only new registrations get them. I'm keeping my old plates forever. Or better yet, bring back Lady Liberty dammit!
