Default Aftermarket pedal sets - rubber grip or perforated?

I'm thinking about the Rennline pedal sets like:
http://www.rennline.com/Rennline-Alu....60.53/SILVER/

OR

http://www.rennline.com/Rennline-Alu....21.13/SILVER/

Which do you like, and why? And do any of you use the Track Mat? Any feedback?
http://www.rennline.com/Track-Mats/products/242/

Are there other products that you recommend over the Rennline items?

Thanks!

I had the rubber grip, it slipped when wet.
Ruf, not Rennline

I have a set of Rennline perforated pedals. They are great, and beautifully made.

However, choosing between rubber or perforated will depend on which kind of shoes you wear for driving.

I find that the perforated pedals provide amazing grip, when you are wearing shoes with rubber soles.

But, when you're wearing shoes with leather soles, the combination of hard leather and hard metal gets a bit slippery. In this case, rubber would be better.

Are you saying that you had RUF pedals or that you recommend them?

Any other feedback from the group?

I have these: http://www.ultimatepedals.com/catalo...d36a9e171d2696

in the frosted anti-slip without insert version, they are great, no slip, even with a little bit of water. easy to install. I think I got them as part of a GB, I have the gas, brake and clutch.

Do NOT buy the perforated pedals. They are complete crap when wet. I have them in my 993 and they're passable but not great. Factory rubber is better.

I'd worry that the rubber pads could come out. I have Sparco pedals with rubber pads in my Audi and some of the rubber has fallen out.

By far, the best are the pyramid texture. Just put those in our M3 and WOW do they grip your shoes. There was a guy selling them here lately. I bought the Turner set for the M3:

Why not get the best of 3 worlds: Porsche script, rubber grips & price.
I think I paid $79.00 from a ebay vendor. Where else.

Those look fantastic. Were they easy to install? Do they fit over the original rubber parts? Do you have the contact details of the vendor?
Cheers

Very easy.
three allen bolts per pedal. Pre-drill your pedals with out the original rubber & your good to go. Took me 30 minutes. Hardest part is the dead pedal as there is nothing behind it for the short screw to grab. I just used 1 inch screws & everything was fine.

Good Luck with your project.

Just took a look at the SRP website. The 'grid' or pyramid version shows the accelerator with the same surface treatment. Wouldn't it be better to have less grippy contact with this pedal. Hopefully they can mix and match finishes. The black anodized variant looks great.

Yeah, I would not want the pyramids on my accelerator pedal. You don't need (or want?) any grip there.

One time during a driver's ed event @ Pocono in my 78 Turbo with just preforated pedals installed I almost crashed after walking through someones oil in the staging/pit area. Never again.
