Sunroof delete is not that hard.. just need donor sheet metal and good body work... inside you need a new headliner...

Oh and maybe finish your 356!!! lol

Not if it's done properly. Welding mine up only cost me 12 hours labor at the body shop. I had my sunroof deleted 2 years ago, (along with the rain gutters) and it still looks great, with no issues. That said, a "transplant" it probably a better way to delete the sunroof, but also a lot more expensive.

Any details?

I want to get rid of my sunroof and have really only considered replacing the whole roof since I never thought you could do it properly by just welding the sunroof.

TIA.

Ok. Stupid question: If the handles are removed and the door is closed, how do you open it? BTW: Looking good, Willis!

I think that they fabbed a panel and welded it in. I don't know the finer points of what they did, but mine has not cracked in 2+ years and you can't tell that it didn't come that way from the factory. To be fair, 12 hours labor was probably a little misleading, because that only included the panel and welding. The other expensive part is replacing the headliner, and I think that was about another $800 + installation.

Hijack over... your car looks great jainbaby!

Very Exciting i'm sure. It looks great so far. Iris blue is such a fine color. With those wheels and a lowered suspension your car is going to look sweet! Keep the pictures coming.
