Have you considered closing up the sunroof? I looked into it, and the only good way is to do a transplant. Welding up the existing sunroof is not really a good idea as the filler material will start to crack...
Not if it's done properly. Welding mine up only cost me 12 hours labor at the body shop. I had my sunroof deleted 2 years ago, (along with the rain gutters) and it still looks great, with no issues. That said, a "transplant" it probably a better way to delete the sunroof, but also a lot more expensive.

Any details?
I want to get rid of my sunroof and have really only considered replacing the whole roof since I never thought you could do it properly by just welding the sunroof.

TIA.
I think that they fabbed a panel and welded it in. I don't know the finer points of what they did, but mine has not cracked in 2+ years and you can't tell that it didn't come that way from the factory. To be fair, 12 hours labor was probably a little misleading, because that only included the panel and welding. The other expensive part is replacing the headliner, and I think that was about another $800 + installation.
Very Exciting i'm sure. It looks great so far. Iris blue is such a fine color. With those wheels and a lowered suspension your car is going to look sweet! Keep the pictures coming.
Car is painted in one booth, bumpers are in the booth right down the hall...
looks sweet
i just had some paintwork done also.
budget a bit of $$$$$$ to have your local "paint correction expert" do a final buff and it can look like this!
I'm happy, hope you are too.
