I just did all of my car except the rear deck lid. Very difficult to see unless you can find a seam that you left wax on. I am guessing that 999 out of a 1000 would never notice. And oooohhhh the peace of mind. especially when my kids pass it in the garage with their bikes.

Cost me... erh... uh... $3000. But in 5+ (maybe ten, who knows) years from now, I'll still have a perfect paint job with no chips! I did the sides and front of my G wagen 2 years ago and drive it year round with lots of rocks on the road and use it in the bush. Paint still looks perfect and the plastic is still undetectable. Highly recommend.

My painter is awesome, he did so much extra for me.
On the tail lights, I was planning to buy a new set (I replaced all the seals, trim, all kinds of stuff), and he told me, if you are buying a new set anyway, let me try something...
He wet sanded the lights, then polished them up to a shine, then added a little black paint to his clear coat and cleared them. Now the lights are smooth and have a slight black tint to them. They look awesome!!!
I also added the brake ducts, smoked corner lights, shaved the basket handle, shaved the front bumperettes and front washers. I bought a new front grille also

Oh my... I LOVE it... especially the front bumper smooth and the blacked tail lights... so killer.
I know that it's purely a personal preference thing, but surprised that you didnt go with a painted spoiler or even painted split spoiler...absolutely NOT a criticism, more just curious if you considered this...
awesome 993 "rod" look

Mrsullivan,
Thanks. Actually, I did do something neat with the spoiler. I just don't have pics. I was going to get a new one or a split, mine was very dull. Again my painter said let me try something first...
He sanded the plastic smooth and then painted it and used a special flat paint. There is actually a base/clear on the spoiler but yet it looks like it was never painted. He said I could even wax it and nothing will happen. I will get some good pics of it and upload.
