Anyone thinking of driving up remember to have your passports (not your radar detector) in order. Only enhanced driver's licenses and passports are accepted travel documents by the border agents.

I am a 993 newb in Vernon who would love to join your open house and BBQ. Alas, I must be in Montreal that week. Hopefully I can make your acquaintance another time. Best wishes for an enjoyable day -- Dan

Hmmmm, 940 miles from Bay Area, 16 hours for most. 9.93 hours for me.
On second thought, I have often wondered about dual citizenship.... One more reason to do it...

Ok, I'll "Bump" this time! Who's in for a drive to Vancouver/Burnaby from Seattle? This is the strategy, the earlier we arrive at the border in Blaine, the less time we will spend idling through the cue into Canada. I prefer using the Truck Border at Pacific, less crowded but not as picturesque if we care to take a group picture around the Peach Arch.
Post here or send a PM to where you will be coming from so that we can determine a common rendezvous location and departure time. The drive time including customs can be as long as three hours, but can be done in less than 2 hours (Late night/ early morning hours).
