Mike J's 5th Annual pcarworkshop Shop Day and BBQ - June 26, 2010
#63
The drive up to Vancouver from Seattle was nice despite the heavy vacation traffic and those choosing to drive just the speed limit in the left lane. Jason(Mongrelcat) and I headed up early so that he could have his car washed and detailed at Ken's shop before heading to the BBQ. According to his GPS we reached 124 during spurts along the way.
Thanks to Guy, Hans, Bob, and Tim for meeting us in Maple Ridge and taking us through the backroads to the BBQ.

God, I think I need to get the airbrush out next time, damn wrinkles are starting to show! At least I got to use my oversized screwdriver (or "man-driver" as I call it). Harlan, nice shots, definitely some "bending of light" in your lens, interesting effects. I had lots of fun as usual, and thanks for everyone's helping hands...hopefully we will keep this event going for a good long time.

Sorry I'm late with the pics, just to busy with other crap today.
Mike thanks for hosting, it was a blast! Great seeing some old & new faces. My car did get very warm waiting to cross the border, it took just over an hour! My temp was steady @ 9 o'clock.
The M1 is a old friend of mine, & it's a great fun car. He is quite the car guy & loves all the older "drivers" cars. He was very happy to hang out & wrench on all the different Porsches.
I got around 90 ok pics, I'll post some of the better ones, but all are here....

It was very funny, there was a TON of C4S's there, & I'd say 2/3rds of the 993's had hardback Sport Seats.
People, & other stuff...
I'll close with a little artsy shot......
Yes, I just got a new camera, & was having fun! If anyone wants, I have these in 18mp & full RAW, didn't know I was shooting both @ the same time, tells you why I filled up a 4gig card! I also got a HD video of some nice sounding Fister STG III's.

Thanks Harlan, I am starting to "get it". Today I got a couple of filters, a lens hood & looked at a awesome 50mm 1.4 lens that I want really bad.
