I bouth a set of mufflers at the Herschey Swapmeet and had someone lovally add the LPMM Mod. I have no idea how this is possible but the firs day I thought Ah well at least I treid it. I was not all that happy wiht it. Somehow driving it more has made the cans sound better. Now I LOVE IT.
I went for the original LPMM with 1.5" pipes and they sound just fine.
I suppose you can always take your mufflers off and have the modified.

I don't think FD makes Stage I anymore, and I KNOW that it's more than $200 plus cores. Prices for Stage II run about double that amount, plus cores, and you can spend more through things like adding ceramic coating.

Try ebay for some stock mufflers then get the mod done. Keeping the stock mufflers is a good idea as everyone has different ideas when it comes to what their "perfect sound" is.
