Guys,

Here is my new steering wheel that Paul Champagne has just completed and shipped to me today. Will arrive on Saturday.

What do you all think?

Sweet! I tried to get Paul to redo my wheel and he kept saying he was too busy. Oh well. He seems to do good work.

Amazing work!

This is the extreme opposite of what Alan Gunn would cobble together....

There's...a lot going on there! I like the horn pad. What do you think he charges just to do the horn pad?

Not a fan of a stock 4 spoke, but yours is in a class all by itself. You have one amazing wheel there. Definitely post pics once installed. Very nice.

Huge improvement over stock... my airbag is covered in plastic. Does the color of the leather match the rest of the interior? Not an easy task since the interior will have changed since new.

Hmmm... since you asked... not a huge fan. I think the perforated portions make it look a liitle busy, esp. against the light colour background. Also a little soft/loose looking? Could also be the pics though.

But hey, enjoy and I am sure it will look good once it's all mounted up!

Best,

Matt

Sorry I have to agree with Matt..... I'm not a fan of 4 spoke steering wheels when I saw it, it reminded me of a Buick Steering wheel. No offense

The only reupholstered 993 4-spoke steering wheel I like is made by Techart. It's thicker than stock, but very understated:

The one in the OP sure is "a work of art" but a little over the top for my tastes. Way too thick to be useful IMO.

But hey, as long as you like it!

Sorry, +2. To my untrained eye, the horn pad looks lumpy and the 10 and 2 bulges look really thick. Was it expensive?

Looks like the guy knows what he is doing. Very good quality it seems, Just too much going on for my taste.

I, too, though the horn pad looked lumpy. Not my cup of tea.
