Thumbs up Leland West Insurance

Was a little concerned finding a reasonable, agreed value policy. Most of the classic car companies had a lot of restrictions wrt annual mileage, usage etc. Leland West had the best coverage by far (unlimited mileage, low deductibles, agreed value, windshield cover with no deductible, emergency roadside assistance, full comp/collision coverage) and are A+ rated. My premium.....$450/yr. I was a bit shocked. I did have to become a member of the PCA but I can see plenty of advantages to that.
Just thought others might like to know.

Mind telling us what the stated value is for that premium?

In TX, which is a bad State (usually) to be buying insurance. I know my DD premium doubled moving from the Bay Area.

I used Leland West for quite a while. Have nothing but good to say about my experience with them.

Do you have any restrictions with Garret? I am with Leland West (American Modern Home is the underwriter/Cincy OH) and am up for renewal so I would like to get some other quotes before signing up for another year. Thanks.

off topic, but...Flying Fin, just noticed your new avatar. My cousin john(JohnRiceart.com) painted Gilles for my 40th birthday present. He is the artist who did the Senna painting in my avatar also.

We were fortunate enough to have met Gilles. He used to race snowmobiles on the Allouette(sp) factory snow pro team. We meet him at a Syracuse, NY race many, many years ago.

$45K agreed value?? seems high for a C2, to each his own but I'd think you would be better using $35-40K seems to me like your just insuring extra dollars here? Unless you have a loan on the car.

I'm paying $800 a year, High but I get a good discount on my DD and home owners etc.. that's on a $30K C4 with zero restrictions just as it was my DD.

With insurance companies, you only find out how good they are when you need them.

3000 miles a year, other than that, I don't know. Don't have all the paperwork yet. I'd say it's best to call them and ask.

Very cool!

I have this tradition that on May 8th (as I'm sure you know, the day we lost him), for that day, I change my avatar in honor of Gilles.

+1 The low bidder is frequently not the best when it comes to claims. Also you should be comparing liability limits too if you want a real apples to apples comparison.
