If you crunch the numbers, the lowest Production, US version, non aspirated, v-ram, hardtop, was the C4 Coupe, nice to know i have a "Rare" 993, only 412 sold in USA.

If you know so much, then post the data you have. Many of us are here to learn.

Jim:

I'm feeling the same way about my '96 C4. We should start a registry.

My point was...Excellence does not do a lot of fact checking. Just look at the [inaccurate] pricing tables they list for 993's year after year.

Yeah, Excellence is not the best source when it comes to our car's values. But, the other source for the data table I posted was PCNA.

I don't know the true accuracy of the info, but I bet it is a pretty accurate snap-shot.

There was a 993Registry but I'm not sure if it's still an on going thing. If it isn't someone should start one. There is a good starting point on the List your VIN thread.

I plan on driving mine every day for the rest of my days - unless and until I get another 911 (or 10), in which case, my old C4 will occupy a special place in the rotation.

The credibility of the chart is very suspect because it lists zero production for some models that are out there driving around, like a '97 C4 Cab. With such a glaring error, how can you trust it?

In fact someone just posted on this forum, a CL listing for a 97 C4 Cab. I also was under the impression that that production numbers for the C2S in 1998 were much lower than for the C4S of the same year.

No 4S coupe in 1998? That's odd because there is one in my garage. I have read that 298 or 299 C4S's came to the US in 1998.

I did not look at the break-down for every model for every year, but the yearly totals are exactly the same for the data chart from PCNA and Excellence.

1994 17 cars
1995 7,737 cars
1996 7,484 cars
1997 6,187 cars
1998 2,616 cars

So I guess no one really knows because all these lists are flawed in some way. I'm always amazed at how few 98 Targas were made (122 according to most lists I've seen) yet you see them for sale quite a bit.

Quick Reply: How many of each model of the 993 made???
