"The Convertible Top is Clean there is a minor Tear on the Rear Passenger side"

Hate to see a major one! But at least it was pointed out in the auction.

Was the car hit and totalled, then salvaged, or was it hit, repaired and then stolen later?

Why am I not surprised?

And how the heck does it get a 96 Autocheck score with a major accident and salvage title?

The thief could have smashed the car after he stole it, but you would hope for a little more honesty.

The crappy part of this equation is that LAPD buys up most of the salvaged P-cars around the country. Thus there is almost no alternative when used parts are needed.

I'm looking for a 997/987 power seat connectors. Small part, but where would I get it from?

I wouldn't use LAPD unless you can personally go there to inspect the part and don't mind paying "new prices for old stuff.

I have used DC Auto in the past with good results.

German Auto Dismantlers is another choice:

This thread should be linked to the other LAPD thread on their business practices.

I heard decent things about DC, but not so great about GAD.

Oklahoma Foreign is another place that has Porsches. But I still think that LAPD ends up with 80%+ of all salvaged p-cars.

Might have something to do with being located in SoCal where 80% of Porsches are bought.
