Default Tech Session for SoCal Gear Heads 5/1/10

Tony Callas* of Callas Rennsport writes, "I have thought long and hard about what subject our next Callas Rennsport-Pelican Parts-PCA/GPX technical session should be based on. How about the chance to learn the diagnosis procedures and techniques of Porsche technicians or at least what professional technicians should currently know and be utilizing? This should be incredibly informative and useful for all of you, the information will be laid out and explained in an easily descriptive translation."

Attached is a flier with the pertinent information. RSVP to rennsport@msn.com, this is necessary. All are welcome, the more the better.

Callas Rennsport-Pelican Parts-PCA/GPX at Callas Rennsport May 1st at 1:00PM.

*Tony has some serious 993 racing experience with Reiser Callas Racing. I don't know of many who know as much about a 993 car as Tony Callas. He is right up their in the Porsche Pantheon with the likes of Joel Reiser, Bruce Anderson, etc.

Hello all, the Tech sessions name doesn't do it justice. This class is going to explain, in a nutshell, the Porsche engine management system (basically from 1996 on) and how it is supposed to be diagnosed. This is normally attended by technicians and shops but I want to educate the Porsche public so they understand what their mechanic (and a lot of shops don't even know some of this stuff) is telling them. You guys are going to love this, period. I travel all over North America teaching this to Porsche technicians for WTI (WORLDPAC Training Institute), this will be a condensed laypersons version.
