Default Interior Door Pocket Question

Just noticed that the driver side door pocket/compartment is cracked on the "front" end of the pocket. Anyone have some good solutions? One end of the spectrum is glue and the other a new pocket. Any creative solutions in between that you have had success with? Picture is sideways (I don't know why).

Large washer x 3 years and no issues.

That's pretty much endemic to these cars. I've done several of these by making a plate out of thin aluminum and using contact cement or rivets to secure it. I make it the entire size of the end. You can also paint it black to better match.

When I replaced the passenger side speaker grill and had to remove the door panel, I noticed a hairline crack from the screw hole to the outer edge.

I will use a very thin piece of stainless steel and bond it to the backside of the surface.

This is what happens when they cheap out. Anytime plastic is screwed down, they should be using a metal bushing within the hole.

On the subject of door panels, would anyone know what this connector is for?

It wasn't connected to anything on my passenger side door panel.

Yup, same here, JB Weld a piece of black-painted aluminum for support. Its been there for several years now, still holding from the original repair.

I remember a post from about a year ago that covered the same problem with similar solutions. I did it and recommend it too.
