Default 993 Dark Burr Maple wood/Aluminum Shifter ****

I am looking for a Dark or Light Burr Maple Wood/ Aluminum Shifter **** w/classic grey leather for my 1997 993. Anyone has one for sale or can direct me to where I can buy one? The shifter is part of option E72

I know you can do the Aluminum and most likely the wood ***** from a Rennlist sponsor www.carnewal.com I have used him before for many items including shifters and ebrakes.

Arena 993 thank you for your quick response. I checked out but I am looking for the original Porsche shifter which is part of option E72. I went ot the dealer and thye cannot get it anymore not even from Germany. That is my dilemma.

Gert can possibly find the part. Use the contact form on his site and ask away. He has gotten me some pretty obscure stuff in the past. Since he is in Belgium he may have a source. Worth a shot. He even got me new Porsche decals for the back of my sport seats when my dealer told me they don't even make them. The decals arrived in a Porsche bag a week later.

Do you have a part number?

This sounds like a Al/Wood combo. If you can do "all wood," it seem like many guys are eager to part with theirs...

dcdude I do not have a part number. I should have obtained the part number from the dealer. I will try to call and get it; however it is the factory E72 option code which is Dark Burr Maple Wood/Aluminum Shifter. it comes with the hand brake combination but I can get the hand brake.

Arena 993 how do I get in contact with Gert? Is it Carnewal.com?

Is that the same as root wood? If so, I'll likely be selling mine, though not in 100% condition.

Hi JPS:

I belive it is. Can you send me a photo. Is it in classic grey leather? The description is dark burr maple wood/aluminum shifter, but again I believe it is called root wood.

Thank you all for the help. Arena 993 you were right on the money, Gert can get me both the shifter and the hand brake new from Porsche. I will be placing the order with Gert on Wednesday. It is going to look superb in my toy 993.
