Nah. If there's on there's footage on the internet showing these cars going fast well......then they must be fast. I guess those goofy body fits, sewer pipe exhaust tips, steamroller wheels, and weird paint colors really enhance performance

wow, track times attest to rwb & his engineering compadres (nakai is a drift racer afterall - now turned into body man, all engineering shopped out to best on the block here)....does not build slow!
just his version of rsr, you may not like it....but definitely not slow & guess global following mostly say not ugly....but in the end after market is all personal right..

I really like these vehicles. If mine wasn't in such good shape and I had the $$$ to spend, I would turn mine over to have it "transformed". I really think they are unique and a work of art that can be driven.

Yes, someone else adds horesepower. Then Nakai takes the car and slows it down by adding the poseur bodywork and other non-performance mods for the Fast and the Furious look.......

not sure about "fast & furious" look, seems to me akin to porsche widebody rsr's from the 70's,taken up a notch which he initially developed for 930's, 964's, latterly 993's.

there is always a debate about his builds (literally now hundreds of them), & i appreciate that after market modifications - especially bodykit/widebody addons are personal thing....so see no debate re personal views.

but i do know nakai (have visited, spent time with him) & he is 1st & foremost a track racer - drifter & not a poseur. he will build to suit customers, but name of his company is rough world, & it has always been his intent to build fast track cars. he cuts away more weight in steel then he adds with the bodykit. and design of all the modifications have been done with his involvement.
His last track car (flat black that is pictured on the forum lots....) was his design & his choice of build. built around a 930, built out to 3.8l., forced induction removed, converted to natural aspiration (via 6 individual race carburators), race headers, straight thru exhaust designed to create some backpressure, among other things....plus 340hp at the wheels - gutted interior, body weight reduction (with his bodykit) plus window door replacement with f'glass....that is his view of what a porsche aircooler should be.

But i can certainly appreciate your views & dislike for the RWB style....so not inviting any debate.
........................................................................ ......................

TO pcarrera:

his builds (for porsche) tend to run SSR's 18's, 12" at the rear with spacers, 10's up front without.

I think they run 265/335s on the Widebody 993Rs. I think those wheels would be hard to fit on a narrow body.

I just made some RWB content. This is a screen garb that is rendered in real-time @ around 30 fps and not a full software render.

Thanks Jon,

No, it is just the assets I developed for the marketing of the next release of Maya. I wish I had time to do animated shorts but my work is all about quick and dirty turn around.
