Turned out pretty well. Seat might need another coat, but they look much better than before.

Before:

After

I didn't do much prep work. A little sanding and some lacquer thinner.

JoAnn at www.colorplus.com has great leather care products! She is a great resource to the Porsche community.

Nice work, Quadcammer!

Go to her web-site and order her stuff. Or send her an e-mail to see if she ships to the UK.

nice!

Totally agree, Joanne is very helpful and nice to work with. They do a great job of doing "match to sample" colors too.

Great stuff. I did a color change from Midnight Blue to black using Surflex on my cab and had some great results. It will wear but it also touches up very well.

Great job!

Is it really as simple as brush on? Or did you spray?

That really is amazing.

I brushed. I did less prep work than I probably should have.

I used lacquer thinner on a rag and wiped the seats down to get some of the old dye off. Then I sanded them lightly with 600 grit. Rewiped down with lacquer thinner.

Applied with paint brush.

The seat backs are a touch streaky, but I can deal with that later.

application took about an hour. Drying time to touch is about 20 minutes. Useable in about a day.

Thanks for the compliments.

Another happy customer. I applied the dye 3.5 years ago and at some spots (bolsters) it starts to crack. Iused a cosmetic sponge to dab it on and had at least 2 layers (for the bolster 3). The good news is that it can be touched up very easily without removing the seats after you have done the initial application. The bolsters took me 1h with all the prep and follow up. Now they look new again for another 3 years.

It looks fantastic. I need to do mine.

On another subject, is there anything to be done about the plastic console parts getting brownish? Mine look like the ones in your picture, well not quite that brown, but close. Yours probably get brown faster as you have a turbo...
