different application entirely but...I have 295/45VR20's Ventus St's on my current DD-summer only here in Central New York. I am on my second set of them.
When I first did the wheel/tire upgrade(?) I had Pirelli Scorpion Zero's-those were insanely exspensive off sale, $206ea on, $276 off. They turned to crap in just 30K miles. I am religious with pressures, and rotations, and I most always get a fresh 4 wheel alignment every season too.
I had never heard of Hankook before-read up on them quite a bit. I decided to go with the Ventus St's @ a measly $126 each. Higher traction rating, longer treadwear, etc. I got a full 4 seasons out of the first set, just put another freh set on last spring.
The first set I got mail order, the second set from my local shop. I had a vibration issue with a pair from the mailorder company...no questions-just, a "that's odd" remark. Boom, two replacements coming my way.
Anyway, Hankook reminds me of BFG in the early-mid eighties. Back then, wasn't the Comp Ta's tearing up SCCA stuff? Hankook is kicking butt now I believe.
Anyway, I'm a fan for sure. Hankook's for summer, Nokians for winter.

I just put them on the C4S as I wanted a 245/35 front tire. Only got about 300 miles on them so far, and all freeway. The one thing that was iffy, and seems to be the case on ALL Korean tires, is that they need a lot of weight to balance. I ended up with 3 1/2 oz. on one of my fronts. That always makes me nervous. Bay Area roads are so bad I'm not sure yet if it's truly vibration free.
Ultimately, the trip to Phoenix starting Thursday will either prove me right or irritate me so that I remedy it while I'm travelling..................
(Yes, I can rotate it on the rim, but I've got a manual changer and after I had wrestled with mounting four I just didn't have the energy to break the bead and move it on the rim.)

I have them on my 17" C2's for about 2500 miles and they have been great. I just ordered them for the MY02's that I will be putting on next week. Great tire for the money.

I have the Hankook Ventus V12 evo's on my car. Have about 800 miles on them. Nothing bad to say about them. Had been buying Michelin's before the Hankook's and decided to try them. Really can't tell the difference. Just a lot cheaper.

I have been happy with Kumho MX's, Bridgestone SO3's, and either the Sumis or Hankooks Im sure will be fine. Sumi's are backordered by a month on Tirerack, I can get the Hankooks at Discount Tire this week.
.
If I can find a used set of SO3's in decent shape, I will go that route. Im on my 2nd set of rears vs. 1 set of fronts SO3's from my tirerack closeout stash from 3 years ago and the fronts look great.

Ordered the Hankook's yesterday from Discount Tire. Tirerack was about the same price but it becomes a matter of convienence---not having to load the tires up in my SUV and drive there, warranty, ect.
There are quite a few Sumi advocates here but my researched lead me to the Hankooks.
Im sure I will find a local buyer for my SO3's ---the fronts are in awesome shape and will probably be good for some track use.
$563.00 for the Hankooks--delivered, installed, balanced, taxes, fee's, ect, ect

Excellent grip, not too noisy, inexpensive, work well in the wet, sidewalls are not as stiff as my Yoko Advans, (better ride).
No input on tread life since they are not used for DD use.
why buy anything else?
PM him for extensive details about his research and experience, (he likes to type more than i do...................).

If anyone wants to try the Hankook V12's, I am selling a set already mounted and balanced on factory 17" Cup 2's. I am replacing them with 18" V12s mounted on some freshly refinished MY02's.
The 17's have 85% rear tread and 90% front. I will do $750 shipped in the US.

I have the Hankook Ventus S-2 ? I think? thats the one, on my BMW 325xi. I can say, if they made these in the 19" size I have on the Porsche, they would be on the car. This tire for the money compares to some of the best out there. Sticky, and very predictable. You turn the wheel, and instant responce..Tire life is short, but thats what you get to make sure you are stuck to the road. Oh, in the rain....GREAT!!!

You're complaining about getting 30,000 miles on a set of P-Zeros?
Wow, I've never gotten more than 15k on the rears and 20k on the fronts no matter what brand with no track time, and proper inflation.
Explain to me how you rotated tires on a 993...confused.

I think the most I ever got out of P-Zeros was 8,000 miles on the rears. The worst was 4,000 miles.
