I just got a Schnell from Vertex on e-bay. IMO was a great price with free shipping (paid about $110), and nice looking part--looking forward to putting it on this weekend.

Hi, Brian. Thanks for the feedback. I was actually looking at that brace on ebay, but was concerned about the quality. Based on your opinion, I may have to give it a second look.

I have a Rennline one that I will be willing to part with as soon as the new one I ordered shows up.

That could be interesting. Can you either post a picture of provide a link to a page that has pictures of the product?

Out of curiosity, why are you replacing the brace and how long have you had it?

From what I have heard, the Rennline is a higher quality, but also higher cost new (that was a factor in my decision making). I am looking to tighten the car up a little and trying to do a little autocrossing, so for my needs the Schnell is good. IMO the fit and finish is nice--will get a pic this weekend when it is installed.

Thanks again, Brian. I have a few options on the table at the moment. For my usage, the Schnell is a worthy contender and I look forward to seeing your pics.

The Schnell is just as good as other strut braces I've seen, and better than some. That's what I use after trying out a few.

Thanks, Eric. Thanks for the additional vote for Schnell.

I am actually awaiting a reply from Vertex to a best offer bid I submitted for their Schnell ebay listing. At that price, it is hard to pass up.

I have a Porsche RS brace I am probably not going to use... but it is a bit more than others mentioned.

Hi, Mark. Much are you looking to get for the RS brace?

It is a 2 point brace like the one below but in black and link is here.

It has worked great and the only reason I am selling is I have a Perfect Power one on order.

New they are $180 so I was looking for $100 BUT I won't part with it until I get the PP one.

Marc
ps. Mike has first dibs as I offered it to him first but if he wants the RS one, then it'll go to the first taker (yes, I have pm's of interest already).

Mike, more than $300...
You'd have to really want the Porsche RS piece (as I did) to go for it
