Another vote for the Schnell from Vertex. I just put mine on last week, seems beefy enough for my needs and looks good, too ![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I also have to add a positive word about the guys at Vertex. They initially sent out the wrong brace (one for a 996 I think). I realized it as soon as I opened the box. I called and explained the situation, they immediately sent out the correct bar with a UPS shipping label for the incorrect one I had in hand. 4 days latter I had the right brace and I dropped the wrong one off at the local UPS storefront place. No affliation, blah, blah......just a happy customer.

Wow guys. I did not expect so much activity in this thread. Thanks for all the info.
The RS brace is a bit expensive for my needs, so I think I will pass on that.
Marc, you have email.

I just finished making mine this afternoon. It was fun and easy to do, plus I had nothing better to do because of the rain.
The rod itself should have been aluminum but I didn't have anything suitable in the garage.
Total investment: $25 and a case of beer (for the lasered flat patterns).
